This encounter marks the end of chapter 2. Next week we'll begin the third chapter and introduce the audience to some ancient mythological characters :P

That a new one for me.

That is what my buddy HdE said, but then I told him it would work out in the end. I guess I should've listened to him--after all he IS British, and those British people don't mess around when it comes to the English language! XD

Does it basically mean a full moon as opposed to a half, or crescent moon?

Its like a waxing crescent moon. The gest of it is that, given this phase, the moon cannot provide nearly as much light as it is needed to see anything in the water, but then Stuart's flash-light completes the circle of light (like a full moon) and is able to spark a copy of the moon's light over the water, hereby unveiling Frederic's image...It sounds waaay better in my head! :P

It made me think of the Latin (or later Italian?) idea (whose phrasing I cannot recall, but a web search gives): "The Moon is a liar. When it is Crescendo it makes a D, when it is Decrescendo it makes a C!"

Might be a red herring though.

That is actually a pretty cool and clever Idea. I wonder, was there an specific author who came up with the phrase? I think I'll go ahead and do a bit of research. It is definitely worth the time :D
